BHB2007: A Baby Binary Star in Formation
ALMA captured a high-res image of binary stars forming in [BHB2007] 11. Two proto-stars are seen with circumstellar disks, surrounded by pretzel-shaped gas and dust filaments the size of Neptune's orbit. Located in the Pipe Nebula, these stars will fully form in a few million years.
