The pelican eel's most notable feature is its large mouth, which is much larger than its body. The mouth is loosely hinged, and can be opened wide enough to swallow a fish much larger than the eel itself. The lower jaw is hinged at the base of the head, with no body mass behind it, making the head look disproportionately large. Its jaw is so large that it is estimated to be about a quarter of the total length of the eel itself.

I've been filing bugs to improve Mozilla's crash reporting infrastructure so it's easier to see at a glance if a particular crash affects only a specific CPU but also if only some microcode versions are affected.

Chinese aid has mostly been differently focusses (funding infrastructure rather than social services), and certainly China's Govt. may see the potential for extending influence, but unless its character is radically altered, for African countries while infrastructure may continue to improve with Chinese help, social (poverty-focussed) services look threatened unless African states themselves take them up?
there was an excellent article in the Grauniad a few weeks back, arguing that US withdrawal offered a golden opportunity to the EU to build bridges into Africa, starting with a recognition of the damage from colonialism and an honest discussion about meaningful reparations for slavery in the form of preferential trade agreements
It’ll never happen with the EU’s Fortress Europe mentality but it could also go a long way to stemming the flow of climate refugees heading north

I thought I had disabled all the 'phone home' functionality in Firefox, but it appears to be still sending telemetry. about:telemetry claims it is disabled but there are several telemetry settings set to true in about:config. I don't know how to turn these off in settings, the only option seems to be to set:
