I can understand why people would maybe want to do this from a privacy perspective. But for discovering new accounts to follow, not hiding these lists is actually very helpful.

Popular program to promote women becoming aerospace engineers is at risk
"Ten years ago this was embraced by everyone, and seen as a win-win for all."

in reply to Ars Technica

My niece is an aerospace engineer. She's gone from working on one of the the SLS engine stages to now managing a DoD project that's recently been in the news. She's received the Army's top civilian employee award. Without her, both projects would have been far longer in development.

Does #Canada need a skilled, funny, and no-nonsense Black middle aged #nonprofit executive with strategic comms, public policy, and governance experience? She is also a really good fundraiser/donor closer.

She also does not mind winter since she's menopausal and contains 50 hormonal suns exploding all at once in her body.

PS: She has a Benson. (See attached.)

Also, that seems to illustrate timesharing, not multiprocessing. Multiprocessing would probably be a single handle attached to multiple cups.

I'd love to sign up for an overseas mobile cellular carrier, that would allow me to use my phone here in the United States.

It would give me a grin from ear to ear, to tell the American providers T-Mobile, ATT, and Verizon to pound sand, even though I'd be roaming off of their networks.

Well @Lprazdnik and I got our new LG all-in-one washer/drier combo set up today. It's a really nice machine and I appreciate that the guys from Home Depo added bump dots for us on the buttons that are touch and that you can access controls on the unit itself, as well as the LG ThinQ app, but I'm trying not to be upset that our downstairs bathroom has been temperaraly converted into a laundry room.
With the current configuration people can use the toilet but not wash there hands, I can't clean the sinc, or get access to the cleaning supplies in the cubbard because the machine is connected to the sinc without an easy way to unplug.
@Lprazdnik should have a work-around arriving next week in the form of a different adapter.
Losing one bathroom is a small price to pay for this access and not having to deal with laundry room fuckery though, I suppose.
If people come over and bitch about not being able to use the downstairs bathroom, #notmyproblem LOL JK. 😀
in reply to Morgan Pimentel

When it’s done, it will play a happy song. Then, the LG Thinq app will notify you that you can unload the laundry. You don’t have to wait for the whole 7 hours. Or at least, I don’t. Lol! It will say cooling down, but you can turn it off so the door gets unlocked. Careful though, as it will be hot.
in reply to Hannah Mae

@Hannah oh wow, interesting. I didn't know that Apple notify you, that's so cool. I should make sure all my notifications are turned on. Also, very good to know that it will be hot. Leo says that it isn't supposed to dry like a typical dryer so according to documentation at least when we took out the clothes they wouldn't be hot, like taking them out of a full-sized washer/ dryer hot. I contemplated turning on the steam option, but left it off for now. I'll do that when I get new socks, which I already desperately need because the washer/ dryer in our laundry room for the last couple months just destroyed all my socks. Ugh

Today in Neighborhood Scandals: I opened the front door to send the kid out and our green bin was prone on the road, old chicken bones and bits of bio bag everywhere! I didn't think the raccoons could get into the larger bins, but I guess if there's enough of them (we have a family of five locally), they can do anything.

Through a comedy of errors, we have found ourselves with too many refrigerators.

I didn't realize that was the kind of problem one could have, but if you would like to help relieve us of one full-size, no-frills, slightly scuffed but otherwise undamaged fully functional residential refrigerator of partially known provenance, it's free to anyone who's willing to help get it out of our house.

Oh, and also one dorm-size cube fridge.

No stairs involved.

I need to clear some space. Would anyone be interested in grab bags of random unpopulated PCBs from my pile? Mostly Commodore related, some other stuff. Could be anything, but never anything worthless.

I just hate the idea of throwing them away when someone could have some fun with them.

I don't know, how about $5 USD for each grab bag, and multiple purchase is allowed?
