Just read this amazing book by @pluralistic. I've read more books by C. Doctorow than any other author. I made myself finish four other books on my mammoth, burgeoning list of to-read fiction before rewarding myself with this one and it did not disappoint!

The description of the "bashing/violance" was way out of my tolerance zone, i skipped that bit. I really enjoyed the book otherwise. The love/fascination for Computers/technology poked my nostalgia. It was a wonderful time back then, before technology was more or less monopolized. It feels like every software today just gets a reheating, a few features added/removed. Always the same in every project, in every company the same "problems".

This is a very neat explanation for how the FF7 "Cloudsurfing" glitch works. It's an interesting glitch in the cache invalidation algorithm used by the collision detection.

And it lets speedrunners walk across oceans.
