We have hit our target! The Vagina Museum is saved! This #WomensHistoryMonth, together we prevented the Vagina Museum from becoming a footnote in women's history. Instead, we made women's history. This community prevailed against overwhelming forces... in a single day. gofundme.com/f/btscc2

The Trump administration is explicitly targeting libraries, museums, and the press in the latest executive order.

For the party that whines so much about being censored, when they aren't, really love to censor others.

Or they just… could. Because the administration has demonstrated the rules don’t matter anymore.

If the US military industry ever wants to sell its stuff outside the USA ever again, every purchaser should require a "Right to Repair" clause.

Has anyone done a good analysis of how self repair could affect product liability when things go awry and someone is injured?

(This may become an even greater issue as cars get more dependent on sensors for driver assist functions. I've seen a lot of repairs made by amateurs that are downright dangerous.)

I've spent more time than I care to think about at organizations that hire the "best" people. This is usually marked by an inability to hire in a timely manner and when hiring happens the new hires are often mini-me versions of the hiring manager.

In the meantime, enjoy my system for not twisting my elastic when threading it through the waistband (I draw silly faces in the orientation it's supposed to intersect so that I can align them again after it's through.

The image depicts a fantasy scene with a central figure, a woman with white hair, standing on a rocky outcrop. She is dressed in a black and silver outfit with a purple cape, holding a staff with a twisted design and purple gemstones. Her posture is confident, with her arms crossed. To her left, a large, orange dragon with sharp teeth and horns is visible, partially emerging from the rocks. On the ground, there are four white candles and a bitten red apple. To the right, a translucent, white, horned figure is seen, possibly a spirit or demon. The background features a blue sky with clouds and a rocky landscape, adding to the mystical atmosphere.

Was reading a bit about Zane Grey, the author of popular Westerns, and discovered he had an estate in Altadena, not far from you. It burned in the January fires. Figured I'd pass this along in case it might interest you as a bike outing destination.

This is an extremely good article of all the ways Trump is bringing authoritarianism to the United States of America. With multiple experts drawing multiple parallels to past fascist regimes and also, how it is different this time, particularly with information warfare.

@thelinuxEXP Was listening to the weekly news podcast, and enjoyed it as usual, but you might want to look at Kagi's CEO and his attitude to many things. Including utter disrespect to things like GDPR compliance. This is a good place to start: d-shoot.net/kagi.html

Not saying that it's horrible that they might publish a browser for linux, but that the company culture doesn't really match its advertising. I personally stopped my trial with Kagi because of the link above.
