I did not attend the event, but I am very interested in the videos. I looked at your website and only found a link to your Youtube channel. Wouldn't it be more appropriate for the event and its participants to publish the recordings on a peertube instance? Maybe even your own?
in reply to Paul J Wege

@makeratschool Hi Paul, that certainly is on our to do list for the future. Right now we publish on YouTube and the TIB AV-Portal: av.tib.eu/publisher/Plain_Schw…

Also: The recordings of last week's event will follow in the next few days.

This is kinda cool as a concept. (It is a bit weird that the only documentation on how to install this still somewhat limited too expects you to run a k8s cluster)

WOW - The French government announced a new OSS project simply called Docs:

“A collaborative note taking, wiki and documentationZendisorm that scales. Built with Django and React. Opensource alternative to Notion or Outline."

It’s even offline-first, using the CRDTs under the hood (Y.js).

LOL, does this mean I get to roll out the

"Liberté, Egalité, CRDTé”

Dad joke?

I think it does. Link below:

The Pandemic Never Ended.

"5 years later, it is sad to think about what could have been ... For a moment, there was a sense that we cared about the vulnerable. There was a moment of solidarity, somewhere within the trauma."

"Those of us who don’t have the privilege of ignoring Covid know about the numerous studies that show the kind of damage Covid can cause on multiple organ systems. The young people having heart attacks. That people aren’t making connections between Covid infections and worsening immune systems feels unfathomable to those of us suffering from long Covid. People ask, naïvely, “Why do I keep getting sick?” Somehow, they don’t make the connection. Denial is a strong drug."

BBC: “Can you see any serious signs that Vladimir Putin is actually willing to enter into serious negotiations?”

President of Finland: “I think the chances are abysmal. I don’t think Putin wants a ceasefire. Putin doesn't want peace. His original aim was...basically to have #Ukraine ceasing to exist. He hasn't changed his aim. And this is what all of us around the table have to understand." Alex Stubb President of Finland 🇫🇮

Give back the Statue of Liberty, French MEP tells US

French Socialist MEP says Washington's embrace of dictators negates the values that led France to bestow the iconic statue some 140 years ago.

By Joe Stanley-Smith

💬 “We’re going to say to the Americans who have chosen to side with the tyrants, to the Americans who fired researchers for demanding scientific freedom: ‘Give us back the Statue of Liberty.’”

NEW: Why trying to understand what the Trump admin did in response to the TRO matters.

Planes were in the air. They kept going.

What did they do, and why? I strongly believe that it matters for our future that we work to understand what is happening at times like this.
