Again, I feel like I'm missing something. How, in the LSM world, is there no built-in way for a smoke detector to set off the fire alarm?
There's add on 'endpoint protection' systems that can notice log activity and react automatically, but that's an after the fact reaction by an outside program, not something built in to the kernel as an inescapable trap ready to spring shut the moment it's needed.
(Some of them are open source. The others are expensive enterpriseware. Quality ... varies.)
