I *really* don't like these Veo scooters in my city. Everything from having public transit provided by a private company, to the fact you have to download an app to use them, to the fact people leave them in the worst places (as shown here) annoys me.

When helping students test circuits they have made with caps like these make everyone (including yourself) wear goggles please. No matter how dramatic you are, one of them will solider in the cap backwards and that sucker will explode with *shrapnel*

It's not going to hurt anyone's skin much but should it hit you in the eye it could be very bad.

Put on the goggles.

Congrats! Also, what I've been told and what proved true to my 1 experience, is that the cooking in the restaurant is pretty much exactly what you get in the cookbook. I hope that's good news for you!

@Moss thank you for the insight! I've found Buttondown to be by far the hardest to use; I really only pushed through because of positive comments I'd heard as well. I remember hearing negative stuff about Substack a few years ago -- have they done nothing to fix this?!? 😳

Not a complete soul sucking exercise if the finger clip into place post print, making it print in place though, that could kill the will of many a human.
I'm wondering if there is a version of this design that can adjust for the many different widths of cans these days.

My sister sends regular updates to me about Hobie's daughter, who she adopted.

I haven't seen her with my own eyes since she was young, so i hadn't realized what a large cat she has grown into.

This is her next to Hobie's other sister.

Jacqueline Foukx.

Speak their names, they shall not be forgotten. Not then, and not new victims now.

Are the Zionist maintainers too busy doing #Hasbara magic to create a record for "Jacqueline Foukx" in "their" #HolocaustVictims database?

The same applies to "Moszek Szajner" in mastodon.world/@auschwitzmuseu… (see victims.auschwitz.org/victims?…).

This afternoon's wander around St Lawrence and the Undercliff was charming, despite the dank weather. It always feels like going back in time around here, even by Isle of Wight standards!
St Lawrence Old Church is incredibly atmospheric and not a place I visit very often.

in reply to Sharon Gascoigne

I think I’ve ran past the sign to the church hundreds of times but never popped up to see it!
in reply to Robee? Na! 🌈

@RobeeShepherd I've only been in a couple of times. The church has never been open when I've been there but the graveyard is beautiful. It's very atmospheric.

So at the moment I'm just interpolating directly between two points, but I'm publishing the angles whilst I do it so I can use that information to try and reconstruct the motion in blender. Eventually i'd like to go the other way too. More calibration required, etc etc. But starting to get at least sensible looking results
in reply to MakerGeek

are you doing simple like interpolation between angles on the 3D phase, or in some more sophisticated space like they do with conformal geometric algebra?
in reply to Oblomov

@oblomov in this test it was just straight interpolation. But the plan is to get somewhat more sophisticated. In theory eventually I can create a nicer in blender with ik, track constraints etc and export that to the robot.
I have a few other ideas to give me some options when seeing up shots.
First I need to really refine the calibration to get perfect steps to angles and probably deal with backlash etc

The name is no longer secret: The accused is former Danish Minister of Trade Henrik Sass Larsen from The Social Democrats.

This makes the case very burdensome for the currently governing party, as Mr. Sass for a time acted as the right hand of current Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen and lead strategist for the party.

The party made combatting pedophilia a key issue in 2019, where they banned sex dolls of the kind now linked to this case.

Back from an extended work trip, and of course, the entire next week's weather forecast here in Vancouver is for cold rain...

At least I had quite a few nice 25 degree days while travelling, and only one rainy day during the entire trip. That was quite the sudden storm, though, with high winds and hail.

My semi-regular reminder of a really important reality about cities, density, services and taxes. Any questions? Graphic recently cleaned up by @kathrynmathias.bsky.social. #CityMakingMath
in reply to Brent Toderian

Like what is the benefit of low density? It's less safe, more boring, everything is far away.

Maybe you can have a bigger place because it's less expensive, but lower density is mostly a negative.

Trump and his MAGA need uneducated sheeps. You can control those who do not learn to question or read, human sheeps who do not have an education are a cancer and they need future young sheeps to keep controlling the US.

That's a carpenter ant. Genus Camponotus. If you give me the location I can try to determine the exact species.

Notice how the back is a rounded hump shape, and the ant is rather large. This is what makes me confident it's a carpenter.

Dug up some weeds today at the plot and left them to desiccate on a bucket for a few days (some have extensive roots). I like to display them, in part, as a lesson to other weeds that might be thinking about germinating (just don't). In a few days I'll slide them into the nearby pit of despair for eventual burial. #GrowYourOwn #garden #gardening #allotment #weeds #composting

Franky I'm too scared to taunt the weeds that I find in our roof garden. They had to get there by wind or bird, they endure the hottest heat and the coldest cold. They are like a Marine with 3543453 kills or whatever. I think if I started taunting them they might break in through the window and smother me in my sleep.

The image depicts a stylized illustration of a female character standing in a dynamic pose. She is wearing a green and brown outfit with intricate details, including a green vest over a brown tunic, and a long coat with shoulder armor. The character holds a sword aloft in her right hand, with a focused expression on her face. Her hair is dark and styled in an updo, with a small accessory visible. The background features abstract geometric shapes and a circular motif, suggesting a mystical or magical theme. The color palette is warm, with earthy tones and gold accents, enhancing the character's regal appearance. The overall style is reminiscent of fantasy art, with a blend of medieval and steampunk elements.
