I can access it with wget from the same server so is it something about how Nextcloud is trying to get the feed that's hitting your bot blocking? Is this something you've seen before?

@shiri There's no indication there's anything wrong with these accounts except that they didn't fill out their profile and didn't post anything. That they all follow exactly 38 people is the only thing in common between them, but they are the 38 accounts recommended to new users on the first screen after sign-up. It feels like a very low bar to call someone a bot or a bot attack. Bots usually do fill out their profile with links and try to send messages.
@glynmoody There is no “Mastodon” to do anything about this. There is only the server you’re on. Reach out to your admins - they can and should put a stop to it. Or you can easily manage it yourself, as someone else on this thread already suggested.
