The Trump administration conceded in a court filing Monday that it mistakenly deported a Maryland father to El Salvador “because of an administrative error” and argued it could not return him because he’s now in Salvadoran custody.

Until now, pricing structure on rideshare apps has been opaque. 🚗

To help fix this, The Workers' Algorithm Observatory, including @andresmh and @varunrao created the FairFare app to crowdsource payment info from drivers.

Now, thanks in part to the data collected by FairFare, Colorado has passed a law mandating rideshare payment transparency.

Cory Booker Condemns Trump’s Policies in Longest Senate Speech on Record

The New Jersey senator spent much of his speech, which ended after more than 25 hours, assailing the Trump administration. He eclipsed Strom Thurmond’s filibuster of a civil rights bill in 1957.

As does every other job in the world.
Yet many newssite/service usually doesn't have such methods in place and instead goes with the usual ads-aproach, which is annoying, yet doesn't block you from reading stuff...

I mean, since it's about wikipedia/mediawiki, how would you feel about wanting to research something, seeing a Wikipedia entry, only to get like the summary and a big box telling you "Get the full article with Wikipedia+!"? I personally wouldn't bother using that site.

I had a client that pushed me into burnout back in September.
In October he had more work for me but I declined. He was not pleased.
I've only taken 2 small jobs this year. Completed them, but I think "external factors" are working against my recovery.
in reply to SiliconFarmer

@SiliconFarmer I just declined a new project with my long time client last week. Necessary, but difficult. External Factors are real big right now, yup.

Corbin Hiar reports at the Scientific American that the big banks are now banking on a 5.4º F. (3º Celsius) rise in global temperatures above the pre-industrial average

> Morgan Stanley let the conclusion slip in a report on air conditioner sales, which it expects to double, what with the extra heat. Hiar says that especially after the election of Trump, the banks accept that that is just the way it is going to be juancole.com/2025/04/catastrop… #GlobalWarming #FossilFuels #ClimateChange

HE DID IT!! Cory Booker runs past the finish line breaking Strom Thurman's speaking record on the Senate floor. He's going for seven more minutes even after the legendary 24 hours. His work in pointing out cuts to healthcare will save lives. #GoodTrouble #JohnLewis

When the NWS uses "catastrophic" to describe an upcoming weather event, that is a deliberate word choice, one meant to underscore the threat. It isn't used often. It was used today to describe the upcoming Mid-South/Ohio Valley flooding threat. Our latest: theeyewall.com/potential-for-c…

It’s appropriate that the record for longest speech in Senate history by Strom Thurmond which was protesting against the Civil Rights Act has been broken by Cory Booker protesting to preserve the gains of the Civil Rights movement from a rapacious government.

Check out a couple of minutes of US Senator Cory Booker filibustering the senate. He promised to speak for as long as he can stand. He's passed 24 hours and broken the 1957 record for the longest ever senate speech.

His actions have an underlying purpose which is to delay scheduled Trump bills from proceeding.

Cory Booker just obliterated Strom Thurmond’s record for the longest Senate speech.

The old record was set by a white supremacist trying to kill civil rights.

The new one?

By a Black senator fighting for them.

That’s the headline.
