Look, I’ll take a good ally anywhere I can find them, but remember that JB Pritzker is worth $3.6B. Set your expectations accordingly.

A young boy once asked his father, why do say hello to everyone?
The father answered, there are so many people in the world who feel so unseen and just need someone to look them in the eyes and say hello, I don't know who they are so I say hello to everyone I can.

Schumer needs to go

The democrats need to put forth a bill that will fix many of the current problems. I don't care if they cannot get it on the floor. They can publish it. They can talk about.

This is fucking nuts that the minority leader of the Senate is out there saying that people will turn to Democrats because trump sucks. He's always sucked and that hasn't worked.

We cannot wait for a third party to be formed. Money and states are much too skewed to the 2 parties

DEMS MUST DO SOMETHING

in reply to DoNotPunchDown

I will add that putting forth a bill isn't nearly enough but it's more than they're doing now
in reply to DoNotPunchDown

Why aren't all Democrats in Congress telling, yelling from the rooftops, what their Republican colleagues are saying in private about Trump and what is happening in this country? I keep hearing senators and representatives saying how the Republicans are complaining in private. How is there "private" when our country is going to hell? When we are losing rights? When people are being disappeared?

What the actual fuck?!

I'm so damn angry

If you consider how corporate Dems made it impossible for a progressive leadership to have any impact in the last three Dem administrations, and how they actively persecuted, and thwarted any attempts to steer the Democratic Party towards more progressive and **popular** policy, whilst simultaneously making the existence of a third party impossible...

Maybe such degree of historical consistency being also consistent with their current behaviour shouldn't be surprising at all.

No. Trump forced a hug on Whitmer, and she kept him at elbow length. #FTFY

I probably don't understand DKIM signing well enough, but I'm seeing tens of thousands of fraudulent messages claiming to originate from PayPal that are sent via *.outlook.com mail servers. These messages fail SPF but pass DKIM.

(Legitimate PayPal messages tend to come from *.paypal.com mail servers and pass both SPF and DKIM.)

Does that mean that the outlook.com servers are successfully DKIM-signing messages on behalf of PayPal?

in reply to cy

@cy I run a personal email server. I don't use DKIM there but I do use SPF. Are you running into delivery issues if your messages aren't DKIM-signed?
@cy
in reply to Chris Herdt

Trouble is DNS is an artificial market. I can't get my legal name first.last to resolve to my IP address, no matter how I demand my government make me registrar of it. I can't even get an address that doesn't change, to prevent me from running services. Imagine if a corporation got to change your postal address without notice!

I can sign up for a DNS salesman's free plan, but guess what their free plan doesn't include? SPF and DKIM records.

DNS isn't much money, but neither is bus fare, and they're both just paying money purely to shut out the poors, so I'm a bit chuffed about it, because I ran an email server fine with only an A record in the 90's, the 00's, and part of the 10's. But Google pushed "safety measures" like RBLs, DKIM and SPF and shut out small time email servers like me.

So yeah, you could call being delivered to everyone's junk folder if my messages even arrive at all, with no change on my end of things, a delivery issue. Not your fault, just something I get frustrated with. We need less... commercialized security measures.

#Israel is committing a #genocide in #Gaza – any deflection from that fact is completely inappropriate."

I don't think it's really true that you can just read the declaration and constitution yourself, without looking at any other scholarship, and easily figure out the principles of the founders? 1
in reply to Noah Berlatsky

I'm not an expert or a scholar, but I mean, I've done some of the reading, and fwiw, my own view is that the founders were really racist and the constitution was intended as a white supremacist document.

"I Gotcha" is a song by #JoeTex. Originally intended for #KingFloyd, instead Tex recorded it himself in the late 1960s, but did not release it at that time. He decided to re-record it in late 1971 and released it as the B-side of "A Mother's Prayer", the first #single from his 1972 album "#IGotcha". Mostly spoken in the form of an early rap song, with few singing passages.

20 million plug-in cars sold in China
By the end of 2024, there had been 10 million plug-in cars (EV and plug-in hybrids) sold in China. This year, it looks as if another 10 million will be sold. It took 14 years to get to the first 10 million, and will likely take just one year to get to the second 10 million.
