I love this thing. It was one of a few old garden tools left in the abri/hangar. It’s got nice heft. Thick steel. Not that sheetmetal shite type of tools you finder in garden stores today. You just lift this up chest height and gravity does the rest. Perfect back angle, too, for pulling soil.
So now I’m on the hunt for vintage garden tools to restore, in addition to other kinds I was already keen on. There’s a lot of cool stuff there.
Some of these tools, like my sweet hoe, have an interesting eye. I have not yet found handles for sale that match it, and I’ll need one. Maybe there’s a niche to make handles for old garden/farm tools. 😀
