#PortlandME #NoKings rally was quite peaceful. Saw a lot of familiar faces from other rallies. Only one cop car, who was mostly there to direct traffic. Folks began dispersing around 1:15pm, and kept their signs up for the tourists downtown!

Things to do on a Saturday night: breaking into the family car without damaging it. Using string, lube, and a strip of leather to free up the mechanism because the charge flap solenoid is stuck and you can't charge the car if you can't get the flap open. It's a known issue with Skoda. Electric, petrol, and diesel all use variations on the same mechanism.

Nearby friends brought me some broken strimmers, a box of parts and a dead mower.

Got both strimmer engines running, one needs new fuel lines (and a new bottom), the other was missing the tank but a matching one was in the parts box. Needs a new tank plug and probably some carb cleanup.

The mower is an old Husqvarna. Black oil in the engine, 2-stroke mix in the tank (derp), a carbed up spark plug and an incorrectly attached and jammed throttle. All fixed, fresh oil, bit of cleanup, works well.

This is a really good old mower, and lightweight. Shall keep and sell our other one.

I'll fix one of the strimmers and maybe stick a new head on it. You can get all kinds of strimmer heads on Ali, pole saws, hedge trimmers, etc.
