I dunno if other writers are this way, but I almost never experience happiness/joy/love/etc. while writing. Rereading is often painful too. The thing is that I care a lot about the thing so I'm willing to do it, and the occasional moments of inspiration are pleasant.

The use of his artwork was unauthorized, and we have requested that DHS remove the post, and we are consulting with our counsel on our options. At The Kinkade Family Foundation, we strongly condemn the sentiment expressed in the post and the deplorable actions that DHS continues to carry out. Like many of you, we were deeply troubled to see this image used to promote division and xenophobia associated with the ideals of DHS, as this is antithetical to our mission. We stand firmly with our communities who have been threatened and targeted by DHS, especially our immigrant, BIPOC, undocumented, LGBTQ+, and disabled relatives and neighbors.

Arrrgh! All that stress and panic trying to find money and get out the door on time, and then the attendant looks at me like I'm crazy and informs me that my doctor appointment is *tomorrow* at 2pm!

Apparently the person my wife spoke to on the phone had her days mixed up and said Tuesday, and that carried over into my wife's brain, and then into mine, with none of us noticing that Tuesday is 7/29, not 7/30. Huge eye roll for all of us...

Ah, all the stress and excuses about missing a work meeting this morning, just to discover that my private laptop for whatever reason had the wrong time. I just discovered that gem when my mobile reminded me of the meeting.
