Finished one of my small linen tops. In theory it's vaguely based on an Edwardian brassiere, but really is hopefully just nice to wear when it's really hot. Extremely slapdash felled seams, some quick buttonholes, these random buttons I had lying around and wide cotton tape for shoulders, I'm out of white thread so used beige... Good enough!

Top down photo of a sort of white linen bustier with princess seams in the front, flat on a table. It's a bit wrinkly from handling, but generally is just a tidily done tiny little garment with a silly amount of buttons in the front, six for something that goes from right above to right below the bust. The fabric is sort of ivory, fine and slightly sheer, the buttons a faux natural pearl, and the shoulder straps are a bright bluish white. This is unfortunate. But it's still nice. Sini's slightly red hand, sewing machine corner and sewing supply tins in frame.
Close up photo of the very front. The soft, thin, malleable linen has little buttonholes in it, done in sparse buttonhole stitch in crisp white linen thread. The added bulk of the buttonholes has warped the linen a little bit, as it's not fixed down with an iron on interfacing. The machine sewing thread is a sort of pale beige, not offensive with the white but not white. The band the lower edge is finished with has been attached by hand on the underside.
