She was literally on board with that idea instantly.
We loaded up her water bottle and headed down the hill.
Our usual trail was closed for a control burn so we put our alternate plan in motion.
It has been months since Summer has been allowed to run off leash on the beach. The prohibition was lifted last week so she is legal.
A good thing she knows the trail because I took a wrong turn and she had to lead me back. My sense of direction is dismal.
We only had an hour to spare but we made the most of it.

Love his outfit. I don’t presently have a dog, but my visiting nurse has three Doodles, so I make them homemade treats in a dog bone mold; using peanut butter, cooked fresh squash, fresh peas, a bit of almond paste and honey with whole wheat flour. They practically make themselves.
My Tuxxie turns up his nose but he gets cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto and sushi. 😂
