If you want a flip side, in our last general election someone tried to run a party echoing and imitating Trump right down to the name. Including running transphobic ads.
They had to pull their ads, and lost the election by a *lot*.
So it may come as some small relief that some populations get it.

My perspective: Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s return to "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" drew 6.2 million viewers on Tuesday night, nearly four times the show’s usual audience, according to preliminary Nielsen figures.
In the interim, we must maintain high ratings for the show so they don't claim it was just nosey lookers tuning in because of the controversy and him coming back.
