Know what would be interesting (to me)? A mix of #ttprg content (maybe #osr) with some simple #basic programs. There's a lot of random tables or simple subsystems in the RPG domain, and that could be neatly expressed with the same type of BASIC programs you'd find in old magazines where you were supposed to type those long listings.
(My mind went to OSR because BASIC is quite "old school", too, and the aesthetics kinda mix, but who knows, this might be a need idea for solo RPGs, story-oriented games etc., too)

in reply to mhd • • •I make many of my tables in games by writing JS code, that both generates tables and provides a die roller for like 50 treasures, or whatever. Easiest way to prove that the stats are right.
BASIC is certainly more traditional, but it's a little harder to do both from these days.

For some basic strings and algo stuff, BASIC sounds good enough and it fits the "everything was better when I was 12" mood… ;)
I'd be worried that for something you could remix or have some kind of zine around it, there'd be too many ways to do things in Javascript or similar, all-purpose languages these days.
