I joined an #LICW class on "sending with paddles" earlier this week. It was really eye opening!
When I first started, I just couldn't hack Iambic B. For instance the letter A was completely impossible to send correctly. Came out as R every time.
During the class he called that out: "A is the one character you can't squeeze key. You need to slap it." (Ah Hah!)
I was suprised to find how easy it was to switch from A to B now that I have more sending practice.
One of the nice things about using a single-paddle key (or at least sending single-paddle style) is that it doesn't really matter whether your rig/keyer is set to Iambic A or B!
