@heartofcoyote everything is heavily controlled by the DCA tower in that airspace. Either the helicopters wouldn’t be authorized for the route when 33 is in use or they’d hold landings on 33 until the helicopters are out of the area.

It's amongst the more terrifying ideas I've seen in print, and I've seen a lot of them lately. meanwhile I'm just trying to do my taxes and can't get into Soc Sec in order to print out my yearly info. @gdinwiddie @Lizette603_23 I checked mine...it’s blank. Literally shows no work history. I’ve been filing taxes since I was 14, so 40+ years. Just...nothing. If I had to retire today, my check wouldn’t cover my property tax. I was told I have to file a form with the irs for every year I’m missing. Get copies of my tax filings since the 80s, and submit them all to SS. Now I’m just hoping the IRS still has records.

The ”freedom cities” could be a new libertarian experiment, or they may be the 21st century version of the old “company town,” where nobody has rights or protection of the law but is subject to the whims of the local billionaire owner.
A group backed by Silicon Valley billionaires has already put forward what appears to be a plan to build a new city in California that they may or may not envision running along these lines.
