you can always argue for any language and unless you're at the very highest end of the chain critical performance like with rust becomes a must. our scale isn't even remotely near that.
I started with C (because of low level HW I've programmed that time), than moved to C++, than done almost anything from Python, JS, PHP some Java.
Programming language is just way to achieve something, real development is in algorithmization and connecting different interfaces. (I would say)
I am not saying you doing it wrong (far from it, just being curious), but how do you keep everything runing? When some framework is updated sometimes something broke. When you have to keep track of 3-4 frameworks / lot of libraries / run environments, it might get messy quite fast. So you keep everything on some version and upgrade with new version of your application or you just update environment and hope nothing will break?
@FandaSin Usually a mixture of automated updates+tests using renovate/dependabot, occasional upgrade tasks in Jira, and simply instant-legacy approach.
A ton of software in the real world is just horribly outdated and insecure. I'm currently working on a project that was started in 2018 with a postgres version EOL in 2016 or so and the entire stack was never updated. It's a fixed price contract, no budget for updates. Sad, but normal.

@AdmSnackbar @FandaSin fully agree. we have the near-luxury to be a fairly self-sustained team inside a large org. we therefore created our own set of principles (public here github.com/swrlab/swrlab/blob/…) which also include a section à la “if it's not maintained any more, we'll turn it off”.
We use dependabot on github and speedy ci/cd processes to quickly update and deploy things without too much overhead. this really helps keeping things rather up-to-date and secure (so far)

Well, octa-core may just help with feed processing mainly, if this has a podcast b rowser as well. My guess is it'll be something low-end like ARM-A53 or 55 based, not a high-end Arm-X1 core or like in flagship phones. I see they license runaTTS in their Orbit Speak though, which interestingly is the same licensee as used by Tifloteknia for their Vocalizer for NVDA product. Another thing that tells me Nuance charges out the butt for a license, so much so that these companies are just getting theirs from one common distribitor and paying them rights to use it.

KHNP said the agreements reflect changes in the global market. Recently, it said, the SMR market has been attracting attention for its new business structure led by energy consumers and developers, moving away from the existing business model centred on nuclear power plant operators.
In December last year, Samsung C&T - Samsung C&T - which worked on the construction of the Korean-supplied Barakah nuclear power plant in the UAE - announced it had signed an MoU with Kärnfull Next to advance the deployment of SMRs in Sweden."

Depends where we're going. If we're talking about The Voyageur, it's a key theme. If we're looking at something set in the Jovian Lunar Empire, it couldn't matter less.
In general, when nature does show up it tends to be aberrant from the actual condition. The bigger role nature plays in my stories is the role it plays in my creative process; the way the seasons govern my ratio of indoor to outdoor activity, the way the best ideas come to me directly from the sun, as filtered down through elm-leaves on my favourite trail down by the river.
