How the Trump administration's Education Department cuts are playing out

I know it's been said many many times before, but every single bit of trans healthcare was originally created for and still predominantly used for gender affirmation of cis people. And cis people have much higher dissatisfaction and regret rates for those healthcare procedures.
HRT? Cis people treating menopause or low testosterone or improving fertility or prostate cancer or anything else that fucks with the endocrine system.
Puberty blockers? Cis kids with precocious puberty
Mastectomy, orchiectomy, hysterectomy, cis people.
Even vaginoplasty or phalloplasty or metoidioplasty were invented as urology reconstructive surgeries to correct injuries, birth defects, or other medical conditions impacting cis people's genitals.
Banning the same exact necessary healthcare procedures for one population and not for another, despite having even better outcomes by basically any metric you can show is textbook discrimination.
I bought a seed starter kit a few years ago that consisted of 1020 seed trays and a set of 2.5 inch seed pots, along with an insert that holds the pots upright. Unfortunately, the insert adds another inch or so of height, which cuts into the space available under the grow lights.
I didn't buy any more inserts because of this, but I have problems with pots falling over or not getting bottom-watered because they are leaning and not making contact with the tray.

So I designed this seed pot grid to keep the pots from leaning or falling over. My printer bed isn’t large enough to print a full width grid, so I broke them up into smaller pieces and designed a snap-in fastener that holds the grids in place. This also makes it possible to lift a 2x2 grid of plants when they are ready for transplant so I can have a mix of plants in each tray if need be.

Good. Lets replace search with "AI" then! Totally logical if you ask me. Even more worth it when you know they're exponentially overtaking the airline industry in their carbon footprint.

Saw a toot that basically said: "To try to defend Occupant Trump's executive order limiting birthright citizenship: corrupt pieces of garbage at his completely corrupt DOJ have claimed that Native Americans aren’t birthright citizens. A normal person explains why this defense misconstrues the Constitution and legal precedent."
I don't need a lawyer to tell me that any of this is absolute bullshit, but thanks.

“So far, it’s a tossup which of the Trump Administration’s wrecking balls will prove most destructive: the one that accelerates global warming, the one that abandons our allies, the one that torches the economy, or the one that compromises public health. Yet all of these are distractions from the President’s long-standing pet project: decimating free and fair elections.” - Sue Halpern

A few years ago, I started tracking my sleep because it could integrate into my cycling training app. It’s useful for looking at fatigue and recovery so that I can adjust my training accordingly.
It’s also really fascinating to look at sleep stages, heart rate, and respiration through the night. 9 out of the last 10 nights, I have been in REM right before my alarm goes off. Is that meaningful? I’m not sure, but it’s interesting to me.
Also, 🍻 kills your #sleep. Like clockwork. Moderation=👍

It's a pity that you seem to have to be a judge in the States to be able to form a rational argument and be heard.
