#today was surgery on my good arm

The surgery took 2 hours, again. I'm sooooo impressed with my surgical team. They are caring, fun, and know what they are doing

They even have me another bear!!!!

My ex HR director gave me a ride there; my #psychologist picked me up. She came in, so I didn't fall down the stairs and checked my meds. I made her give me my 💉 💉 too! I figured she's a doctor, so she should be able to do that

Since I do hundreds in dogs and cats, I doggie everyone can do it

Antisemitismus wird ignoriert oder gar toleriert oder mit einem erneuten Mandat fiir den Bundestag ausgestattet. Mit Angst wird jede Politik, so auch die véllig Uberzogenen Coronamaßnahmen durchgesetzt. Aufgearbeitet wude bis heute jedoch keiner dieser Coronafehler. Die voéllig gescheiterte Migrations- und Integrationspolitik wird fortgeführt. Unsere Wirtschaft geht staatlich geplant den Bach runter. Die, die unbequeme Wahrheiten aussprechen, werden diffamiert und mundtot gemacht. Eine Partei in direkter Nachfolge der SED gewinnt immer mehr Zuspruch, sozialistische Fantasien gewinnen immer mehr Zuspruch. Der ORR betreibt links-griinen Meinungsjournalismus und Influencer, egal ob islamistisch, antisemitisch, links oder rechts lenken tber Social- Media die gesellschaftliche Meinungsbildung. Derweil unterstiitzen bestimmte Parteien genau diese Entwicklungen und sichern sie (iber die undemokratische Brandmauertheorie erfolgreich ab. Und andere Parteien beugen sich diesem linken Brandmauerdruck. Geht noch etwas weiter, aber es bleibt eigentlich bei diesem Fiebertraum und der Rest passt nicht mehr in den Alt.

A hardy pensioner who has beaten cancer eight times now has so much radiation in his body that he sets off supermarket alarms. Geoffrey Jones, 80, was first diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1971 when he was 26.
He has since survived prostate cancer, lymphoma, a tumour on the spine and four bouts of skin cancer. But all the radiotherapy he has received over the decades means the security guards at his local Sainsbury’s now turn the alarm off when he comes in to stop him triggering it.

My readers expect English-language translations of German folk tales, which is already a pretty rare thing.

But I can't just translate the tales themselves and call it a day (or worse, run the texts through an #LLM translator) - I need to provide _context_, for otherwise these tales won't make a lot of sense to my readers. 19th century #Germany is culturally pretty removed from 21st Germany - let alone from modern international readers, many of whom have never even visited the country. They _need_ some pointers to what is going on in these stories.
