Not everyone is appreciative of the physician's art, but few take their disapproval as far as this particular patient.

@futurebird Nah, the mouth's just another hand (they've got a pretty cool finger-tongue thing going on)! I've known a few cockies. They'll probably destroy the car, but we need fewer cars in the world.

Marco Rubio just PNGd (expelled) the ambassador from South Africa by tweet, apparently for the offense of being too woke. reuters.com/world/us-declares-…

Just to be clear, this is the ambassador FROM South Africa, the official representative of the South African government to the US. He works for the South African government, not the US government.

Matt Blaze reshared this.

That wasn’t the correct South African we need to get rid of…

"Amazon’s secure cloud"

Before I trust my stuff on someone else's storage, I need to trust them. The people who own Amazon are the real security threat.

I'd have assumed everything used on any voice assistant was always sent to the "Mother ship" even if they claimed otherwise.

So Amazon is at least honest now?

Gee, when NOAA warns people driving high profile vehicles to slow down, maybe they should heed the advice.

Better yet, just park it at the best angle and wait until the winds die down.

We don't need to automate the best parts of being human.

Some things are meant to be slow. Some things are meant to be clumsy.

That's the point.

#WritersCoffeeClub March 15. Are you aware of any fanfiction about your work?

Not fanfiction as _such_, but there _have_ been a few people who have used my translations in their own shows (something I actively encourage by releasing them under a #CreativeCommons Zero license).

Also, I know of at least two people who have used them for #ttrpg purposes.

No, the Mexican-American War was not fought in Pittsburgh - the Mexican War Streets were developed during that time. You will find beautiful row houses, gardens, tree-lined streets and some of the best museums. backpackandsnorkel.com/USA/Pit…

Just read this amazing book by @pluralistic. I've read more books by C. Doctorow than any other author. I made myself finish four other books on my mammoth, burgeoning list of to-read fiction before rewarding myself with this one and it did not disappoint!
in reply to considerate

The description of the "bashing/violance" was way out of my tolerance zone, i skipped that bit. I really enjoyed the book otherwise. The love/fascination for Computers/technology poked my nostalgia. It was a wonderful time back then, before technology was more or less monopolized. It feels like every software today just gets a reheating, a few features added/removed. Always the same in every project, in every company the same "problems".
in reply to Rackuur

@Rackuur yep, I'm definitely here for the nostalgia! Technological elegance that we'll likely never see again.
