Despite the rain, despite the government shutting down every form of public transport towards Belgrade, the amount of people on the streets of Belgrade right now is absolutely *insane*.

Today's protest is already being referred to as the biggest protest in Serbian history — and rightfully so.

The people are still pouring in, the peak of the crowd isn't expected until 8pm.

It itemized how $5,201 had been stricken from their bank account, on the grounds that Ned wasn't justified to get those benefits - because he was dead. That was for payments he'd received in December and January. Ned found that his February Social Security check hadn't been paid, and he's yet to receive his March check, either. His Medicare insurance had been canceled. He also learned that when you die, your credit score gets marked as "deceased, do not issue credit," which makes it tough to get a loan.

I've spent more time than I care to think about at organizations that hire the "best" people. This is usually marked by an inability to hire in a timely manner and when hiring happens the new hires are often mini-me versions of the hiring manager.

@dr_a 🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯 lots of games and tests and silliness to get in the door but then once you’re there it’s mostly run by people that already knew each other somewhere else

In the meantime, enjoy my system for not twisting my elastic when threading it through the waistband (I draw silly faces in the orientation it's supposed to intersect so that I can align them again after it's through.
