I’ve been meaning to get a Pixelblaze Nano, and separately bought a strand of small beads with (presumably) WS2812B in them to test a theory. If your board replaces the string’s USB-A controller and those holes provide strain relief, that’d save me the effort of figuring out the same. 😀
@vk2tty Oh cool! So the Pixelblaze Pico (don’t think there’s a Nano yet! 😆) itself would replace the USB-A controller, and one of the boards I’m making will either solder or connect to the Pico and break out its 4 pads into a USB-C connector and strand connector. The holes are a little more for sewing the board to something than strain-relieving the strand, I would have had to grow the board to do that and I was trying to keep it minimal. I’ll post more about the boards in a bit!

Minor technical error today. Realised we had some “fungus gnats” and I helped a sundew catch some.Taking a closer look, I realised it looked more like a wasp. No idea where they came from. Inconclusive iNat ID. Eventually realised the oak marble gall in a pot had a lot more holes in it than I remembered & put 2 & 2 together. More oak marble gall wasps had emerged & now lived in my oak-less house. Gall put outside & 10 mins of capture & release - balance returned. Leave the galls outside, kids.

i stumbled upon chris's amazing analysis of an (in)famous one-byte crack for the game, that first appeared on BBSes in 1989. the one-byte hexedit tricks the game into forcing the first fingerprint option to be the correct one every time.
unfortunately... it has a brutal side effect: using this particular skip instruction on the engine, it destroys the randomized generation that makes Colonel's Bequest very special compared to most other adventure games. just imagine how many people's playthroughs of the game were ruined by a bad crack. just look at all the shit it broke:

I push back on this because America has a bad habit of letting criticism of Christianity fall over into anti-Catholicism (JFK was the first Catholic President; being of that faith would have been damn-near disqualifying in the generation before him). So if we're going to make this sort of claim, the conspiracy-map had better be rock-solid.

But back to these Supreme Court justices. Look up their relationship to the Heritage Foundation, the Federalist Society (not christian nationalism specifically, but far right), and specifically their focus on Dominionism.

Edit to add: Anti-any religion is bad. Not all Christians are Christian Nationalist by any means. Mike Johnson's been attempting to unilaterally unseat judges that have ruled against Trump which shows the lengths MAGA will go to hang onto power. Stefanik is out and the Florida special election is competitive.
That's how worried they are that what they're doing is not sustainable.
