Found this beautiful unused keyboard in storage at work. Switches are all Cherry Brown and I really like the feel of them. Only gotcha: the interface may be an oddball.

It looks like a rebadged Devlin "Rapid Access Keyboard" - same layout.

If may just be a USB connection that you need a funky cable for it.

I know of only 1 Windows clone. Meaning, an operating system, that is not Microsoft Windows, with the purpose of running Windows apps and services.

ReactOS, located Europe, Germany reactos.org
This is more than a theme (style), but an actual OS that can even install Windows drivers. They've been in development for years, and it has more in common with Windows 2000 or Server 2003. It's good with older games in my opinion, so if you have any classic, this works OK.

The burritos had such a great time tearing around the meadow at top speed today. It really cheered me up watching them.

Manuel is so chubby but he loves to move out and he is FAST! He can (and did) run like this for several minutes without the slightest sign of being out of breath.

I don't know why this is, but it's always seemed to me that there's no animal that runs for sheer joy of life moreso than donkeys.

They just seem ... outright celebratory doing it.

Classic pepperoni and mushroom tonight. It's a chilly night, so the warmth of the oven is welcome

Manjaro is a fork of Arch Linux, and I like it, but it does fall under Us Jurisdiction

Manjaro Linux is part of OIN since March 2014.

Tonight's Low Quality Ad is for the Luna Bean Hand Casting Kit, on sale for 40% off.
As a professional thumb wrestler, each time I defeat my opponent I dip our hands into the mold to commemorate my victory. My apartment is full of hand trophies.

I came close to buying this just now. I want to cast my brother's hands before I cut them off for stealing. I'll then put them on the coffee table so he has to see them every time he visits and is reminded of what he's done. Because clearly cutting his hands off wouldn't be far enough. Clearly.

In some caves touched by sunlight through cracks you may see what look like stalactites and stalagmites that "grow towards the light" these are called Phytokarst Formations, they are accretion of moss, algae and limestone. The moss favors the parts of the rock formation with the best light exposure, this allows it to catch more limestone laden water.

A different kind of Phytokarst Formation is created when bacteria eat away rock where light is present.

I just watched a video on lambda-calculus, so I was primed to see this and think about programming cellular automata to manufacture stone sculptures for us. As one does.

And to be fair, if I grew up hating the Soviet system, I might glom onto the US Republican way.

But I did grow up hating the Soviet system and look at me. Progressive political leaning. Who’d a thunk it?

@bplein @bigjsl Rampant corruption and crony capitalism were the two defining characteristics of the late Soviet Union and the modern Russian Federation. Either she lacks even the most basic critical thinking skills to the point she probably thinks the DPRK is a democracy, or she didn’t grow up hating the Soviet system.
in reply to Bill Plein🌶

@bplein @bigjsl Her angles were fishy from the get go. Her agenda from day one reeked of „I got mine, fuck you” - a perfect example of reactionary anti-socialism and libertarianism.

Being born in Ukraine is a biographical fact, her actions are what’s important. And her actions are damning.

New, by me: How Each Pillar of the 1st Amendment is Under Attack

In an address to Congress this month, President Trump claimed he had "brought free speech back to America." But barely two months into his second term, the president has waged an unprecedented attack on the First Amendment rights of journalists, students, universities, government workers, lawyers and judges.

This story explores a slew of recent actions by the Trump administration that threaten to undermine all five pillars of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees freedoms concerning speech, religion, the media, the right to assembly, and the right to petition the government and seek redress for wrongs.
