I’ve been disassembling the pallets I got from the tiles and powder delivery in… January? (Seems like a year ago.) Two done with four to go. Some kind of pine, it seems. These are going to be various individual tool boxes (e.g. layout tools); some of them rather small (e.g. pencil-case–style tap boxes). I need a re-saw system first because a thickness planer isn’t in the cards. Might see what a pull saw can do on short pieces.

It's running in spare capacity on a small fanless PC that's acting as my home router. Storage is about 1GB at the moment.
I'm using #snac2, and it would probably run happily (but a bit slower) on a Raspberry Pi 3. So if you're talking of only running an instance on a single bit of hardware (which would be very wasteful) about £50 for the hardware (basic Pi + SD card) and much less than £1 a month to run it.
You could easily run a personal snac2 instance on the base package of any VPS provider, with capacity to spare for other stuff.

in reply to wedge • • •I’ve found that a western-style saw works fine for resawing. The big thing is having it sharp and evenly set so it doesn’t wander. Add good technique and bob’s your uncle.
With pull saws, my tendency to try and steer the saw takes over, and I can’t help myself from cutting a curve.
