I wish I had the skill to estimate crowd sizes, but there were a very good number of people there today.
Looking at the strip where we were on the map, if there was 1 person every 3 feet - there were easily 500 people there. That's pretty good, I'd say!
One thing I did not anticipate was how EMOTIONAL the whole thing would be for me.
It was a lot. A good "a lot" but damn, it was a lot.
I did witness some serious "old white guy" privilege when the cops came by.
We're all oozing away from them as they walked by to talk to the organizer, and as they were leaving, this guy goes, "Oh, officers, has something happened?"
And they just stopped and told him everything.

I debated phone/no phone for yesterday and just decided to take it and leave it on.
Our rally was nearby and on sidewalks at a local shopping center that I frequent regularly.
Oh no, you've tracked me to somewhere I go all the time.
And overall, I did feel safer with my phone.
And I really, really hope that the organizers all over the country see the benefit of more, smaller rallies all over the place rather than just in city center type spots.
I suspect there were a lot of folks at my local rally that wouldn't have been able to go to DC or down to Manassas.
And tons of folks *saw* us, which wouldn't have happened if it was elsewhere.
Making these rallies accessible is so very important, and location is a huge part of that.

Despite the narrative the haters spin, folks who go to these are mostly friendly and pro-social and want to connect with other humans.
Also saw a lot more older normies at both events than I've seen in past years which I think is a heartening sign.
