Ms. Killick has MSNBC on in the other room, and I can hear them going on ad nauseum about the hunt for the suspected murderer in Minnesota. Previously, they had a report from an LA reporter who decided he needed to be in the noisiest part of the demonstration so he could shout his report.
I can't watch this kind of TV. The news editors are too focused on the dramatic visuals and what's "breaking." If I watch the news, the stuff that gets covered and how it is covered is a constant irritation to me above and beyond the actual happenings in the world. As often as I can, I avoid looking at TV news. I encourage you to do the same. There is plenty of news you can read to stay informed, and you can skip ahead, or just read the headlines.

Trying to think of my plans after uni is actually hard, because two years is actually a really fucking long time, and who knows how things will have changed by then. If everything goes how I hope it will, I could move to the west coast, where two of my partners and several of their partners possibly will still be. With a vet tech degree, I doubt it'll be too hard to find work to support myself, there seems to be lots of places hiring vet techs. The hardest part will be figuring out how to move my partners who are further away than that to me.
But there are so many things that could change in the span of two years. So many things could happen that will completely change the direction I want to go after college. I guess we'll just have to see what happens...
I am such a nerd.
