Peaches is finished with it's underworld theme. I know I **should** have done pomegranates but I wanted to draw peaches. Plus the piece started as another surreal drawing of my oldest daughter while I had Jack Black singing in my head "Peaches, peaches, peaches..." so I ran with it.

A painting from my sketchbook. The image is made in a vertically orientated rectangle in the middle of the page. Roughly postcard-size. The main image is in the middle, with a border of roughly one centimetre around it. It depicts me sitting in my atelier at my worktable. I am wearing a white shirt and blue trousers, and my hair is in a braid. I am painting. There is a mixing palette, clutter, brushes, a water bottle and a glass on the table. Behind me stands an easel with a drawing on it. The surrounding border contains multiple small drawings, from top left to the right: A sun, a landscape with the sea and mountains where an open book lies in the middle of the scene, the moon, a dove, a pot with paint brushes, an inkwell flowing into water with two fishes swimming, sunflower, a sleeping cat on pillows, a rose, a black dove, a snake, and finally two pieces of fabric being sewn together. The whole is very colourful and inspired by medieval illuminations.

Sur une table de jardin ensoleillée en alu décor bois et dans une assiette en faïence verte du plus bel effet (non), deux demi tartelettes assemblées, l’une aux fraises, l’autre aux framboises, brillent de toute leurs splendeurs sucrées.
La même, vue en plongée, on distingue la crème montée dans laquelle baignent les fruits.
