Momenteel zit alles door elkaar, (instances maar ook inkomen zoals Patreon maand en jaarlijks)
Prio lag beetje meer riching mstdn niet laten vollopen en crashen
Ik heb een schatting van afgelopen maand:
De normale server bills waren over de 970, Wasabi over de 270 geloof ik en mailgun rond de 35

Thanks! Ik was inderdaad benieuwd. Storage vindt ik nog wel meevallen zelfs.
Ik heb het gevoel dat op infra gebied nog wel wat winst te behalen valt. Mogelijk kan ik daar nog wel wat in betekenen om een keer mee te denken als je dat interessant vindt.

Omdat ik een tijd geleden een migratie heb gedaan wou ik graag naar volumes met de database, echter bleek dit een drama te zijn en niet te werken waardor we weer moesten upgraden naar de hoogste tier
Die zat laatst dus ook bijna vol dus de enige oplossing was een dedicated met veel meer storage voor de database

Je haalt met Hetzner network volumes veel te weinig I/O, die zijn zeker niet geschikt voor DB storage voor een instance van jouw grootte.
Mijn advies voor een DB zou zijn om een dedicated server van de auction pagina af te halen met RAID1 op (NVME) SSDs. De rest van de compute kun je goedkoop invullen met ARM machines van de Hetzner cloud. Wij (toot.community) hebben 53 vCPU cores en ±100GB RAM voor ±75 euro/maand. 1/2

Je kan dan zelfs nog zo ver gaan als dynamisch op- en afschalen van servers indien je Kubernetes gebruikt. Je betaald immers per uur. 2/2

Voor DBs van deze grootte is streaming replicatie je vriend. Je kan DBs van jouw grootte dan overzetten in enkele secondes.
