I might accidentally bought 7 more magazines from a local retro shop, alongside some really cheap PS2 and Wii games. 😅
PS. If I don't post much or reply a bit late, I'm having a bit of trouble adapting to my glasses.
Can't have an all in one pair as my eyes wouldn't be able to adjust to the massive change right now.
Heck, I couldn't even get the full prescription strength that I theoretically would need...
And I can see why.
While I've more or less adjusted to my reading glasses now, so my laptop and everything else has its normal shape again and doesn't seem to be melting at the lower right side anymore like it did the first 3 days.
My regular ones still give me lots of trouble, especially when moving around.
When looking down, the floor has a steep slope to the right as well as behind me, so that's not optimal. 😅
But when I get a message, I can't even read the screen now anymore without my reading glasses, or by squinting really hard.
So I tend to not use my phone much at all now.
Well, he told me the adjustment would be challenging, that's why I can't get the prescription I actually need until at last a year from now. As things would be too warped to be able to adjust to them.
My experience with my reading glasses seem to be stabilising, unless I'm just out of bed, in which case, things are again a bit slanted.
But they tend to get better after half an hour already.
So that makes me think it'll just be a longer process.
Haven't used my normal glasses as much, since I've been doing a lot of magazine work on the laptop since this is my last week of summer break.
So when I put those on, while it's definitely a lot better than last week, it still doesn't feel like it should at all.
Gonna take time to adapt.

I got up early and managed to get both dogs walked before a morning medical appointment. We don't have a heat advisory right now, but it's plenty warm and humid, and I'm glad the outdoor stuff is done.
Parts of the Midwest, including northern Iowa, did get a derecho overnight with lots of property damage in many places. The storm had weakened by the time it came through here in the wee hours.

Couldn't, because they COULDN'T pay a teacher enough to afford renting a unit within a commute of hours to the city.
So San Francisco School Board bought an apartment building, for new hires.
On a small scale, restricted to teachers, but this is proof of concept, proof of your point.
Make residential set asides of land that will never again be sold as real estate. Just for residences.
