I've done a bunch of PCB designs in KiCad before; IMO, Fusion is probably less likely to have component libraries break (like they did when I upgraded from KC6 to 7)... but it does guzzle memory, and cost more than I'd pay as a freelancer.
This stream started a little slowly because I'm in the process of moving over to my M1 Mac Mini, which can handle stuff like that (& video) without drowning in fan noise. 🫠

in reply to merlin / alex glow • • •thanks. There just wasn’t much in the component libraries back then. It was a ridiculous amount of work, and learning curve. I stopped paying for Fusion when I went a whole year without opening it. 😵💫
I like the idea of Fusion, but it obviously wasn’t going to deliver on the promise for a decade if ever, so I exited stage left. Life is too short.
Maybe AI will make it easier soon. 🤔🤷♂️
