Even in the USA, #COVID infection rates seem to be way down when compared to previous years, which is good news. Presumably, most of the population has developed a resistance to the disease in one way or another.
That doesn't mean that we should abandon all caution, of course - the disease can still be very nasty if you are unfortunate to get it. But the risk of getting it seems to be much lower than in previous years.

As far as I know, wastewater surveillance is independent from reporting individual patients - it just measures the virus load in wastewater over time. So I would expect it to be a reasonably accurate indicator of overall infection rates.

Got all the release pipelines finally working. You can now try out the 0.4 alpha of MediaHug, my view/photo browser (uses mpv as the backend).
There are installation instructions for Gentoo via an overlay, and Fedora via my yum repository. If your distribution has a package for the uv build tool, you can also clone the source (which I know most of you will do because you're rightfully paranoid) and use uv to run it in a virtual environment.
No telemetry and AGPLv3 licensed. Hope to get a Mandravia build up soon too. Would like to support .deb distros but Debian packaging is slightly insane. If anyone wants to help contribute .deb support the CI Pipelines are here and I promise you they are poorly documented and may will cause brain aneurysms:
