This popped up on my memories today, from 10 years ago. So let me tell you about Mr Stitch.
Mr Stitch was on his last full day at the RSPCA and was due to be put down the next day. The reason? He had a large wound in his neck and chest from being attacked by another dog, meaning a row of stitches. People rejected him right away when they saw that. He was sooo smoochy and friendly, we nabbed him and he lived till he was 16.
He had zero concept of anything bad happening to him ever. Growling, snarly dogs? Friends! Car heading right for him? Hello! Shouting at him for Crimes? Yay! Conversation!
The pillow on the chair in this pic? He put it there. He sat on the chair for a minute, sighed and went to find a pillow. There is also probably at least one shoe under him, he never settled for a snooze without a shoe.
Goodest boy. Used to run for hours if he got out though, and he was slippery and fast. Bella WILL run but she's not so quick to slip out the gate.
