From NC’s Weather Authority on FB: Tropical Storm Humberto, as of this evening, Invest 93L has officially strengthened and has become a closed low, becoming Tropical Storm Humberto as expected. It is located 550 miles ENE of the Northern Leeward Islands. It will move west-northwest over the next day, but a turn to the north is expected. It should become a Hurricane by this weekend.
📌This is one piece of the puzzle for the very complex forecast. At this point, I don't expect this system to impact the United States. We will keep a watchful eye on how this system interacts and what happens to invest 94L, which we will monitor for the next few days. My thinking from this morning remains unchanged for a full update. Please see my previous post in the comments or scroll back on the page.
