A coffee shop near me has some high tables I like to sit at (because I can look out the window not in). Last weekend I noticed that a small sign had been put up highlighting the table as a piece of living history: it was from a post office inside a Japanese Internment cap in California in WWII.
And I wonder if that coffee shop knows how important that sign is in the era of hate we now live in.
I thought of @georgetakei โฆ and I held a moment of quiet contemplation for those past and future who will have this kind of inhumanity to endure.
