I don't multi-task, so I normally only have one WIP at a time. There may be others on the shelf, waiting for an idle spot.
Right now is very unusual: I've got TWO WIPs, both novels. But they share a common setting and one of them rudely elbowed the other out of the way and said "write ME now!" so I was able to switch tracks without a bad derailment.

But I generally play with an idea for a few days until I run out of steam and move on to one I'm more serious about.
The actual answer, right now I only have one thing in the brain.

But it's gone very ends justify the means, which isn't my real beliefs. If I had better ideas, I'd write those instead.
Or should I press on with something that makes me uncomfortable?
