I was a buyer for two different department stores back in the day, a person who subscribed to a handful of fashion magazines as part of my job. I know fashion, and have a love/hate relationship with it...
Some part of this is also body image, as I am a large woman, and have trouble justifying to myself putting very expensive items on a form that won't display them well.
