We do this dance every six months, as she pushes me to do increasingly invasive and unpleasant procedures that, frankly speaking, I don't want to or cannot do. And I say, please just let me have my meds, can you? And she tries to extort me into doing her needs and not mine.
Woman has ZERO understanding of violent sexual trauma. No details, just..."No, I won't be doing that" ought to be signal enough for a doctor, one would hope?
I could change doctors. But then i have the uncertainty of "will my doctor continue my life-saving meds, or will they be cut off by a person who's no idea what chronic pain does to a human?" It's annoying, but for the 2nd time this morning, it's the devil i know who gets the nod.
If she could just give me a waiver to sign. "I agree that i have been fully informed of the long-term risks of avoiding Procedures of Torment 283, 67A §3, and 3bis., and choose to opt out of said Procedures for this lifetime. I understand I may die, and that I will some day anyway, and on balance, in short...No."
