it has come to my attention that some people are not aware of the Structural Starch Food Cube for food classification.
For example, a slice of Pumpkin Pie is "bent toast." And if it has a top part, it's a taco.
Just skip down to the drawings part with the cube based rules.

I am once again faced with the bleak irony of people who install onto their computer some 5 or more apps via FlatPak or Docker, including VSCode, each installed with their own entire copies of Node.js and Electron.js (differing only in their minor revision number), while also complaining about Emacs being “bloated” because it ships with a miniature web browser and fully-featured e-mail client.

I’m pretty sure “bloat” refers to functionality rather than architecture here.
@sqrtminusone I guess if one has been lead to believe that Emacs is an editor, rather than what it actually is (a Lisp programming environment and language runtime), one might be forgiven for confusing “bloat” with what they call “batteries included.”
People's perceptions of bloat and performance also comes from comparisons with what's nearby.
"Oh but vscode is so fast and light compared to atom. And emacs is so bloated (vs vim). It almost makes you forget how emacs and vscode compare " 😆
