That said, the 20-odd subscribers I currently have are mostly friends, but that predates the newsletter. 😜
I submit that if [famous person] says "this is the bestest book ever", I'll get a bump in sales and a pile of followers over on Bluesky (where I plan to broadcast, not converse), but still the people who take the next step and come here or sign up for my newsletter are the ones who are looking for more of a connection.
