Just had to order another couple of metres of bookshelves. I've already got a 5m wide, 2m tall wall (see attachment) that does not have space to spare, and another 5 large shelves each a few meters wide... But... The piles of #books precariously stacked around the room have started to topple.
I figured this was a 1 bookshelf fix... That looks to be an underestimate... 2m wide by 1.8m tall will fit in the room and that will leave only a few small book stacks. Which is a problem for future me. Total books currently in this one room, about 2.5k.
It took precisely no time at all for Orphee to turn himself into looooong cat and to start sniffing the new bookshelves.
He also jumped around and explored every shelf, but I have no pics of that which are not a blurry mess.
This is an extremely good article of all the ways Trump is bringing authoritarianism to the United States of America. With multiple experts drawing multiple parallels to past fascist regimes and also, how it is different this time, particularly with information warfare.

Uuuugh, that's dangerous. I was REALLY after that one... but the C64 TKL model won out.
I don't regret the choice (it looks great), but I always think about what could have been. Siiiigh.
Anyway, being the Imelda Marcos of keyboards, I would absolutely spring for that at that price... but I dunno, I love the one I have but man, those keys are tiring sometimes. They give me kind of a fatigue of sorts after a day of working and I end up swapping it out for a bit.
(And I'd love to forgo the A/B buttons and just get regular keys down there.)

Should clarify, that's $6K, not just $6 like the title there suggests.
Back in MY day I was shocked to see $100 sneakers.. .
I guess I understand people paying lots of money for collectable things, but sneakers are just going to wear out through normal use (good sneakers can be worn for years, but they're NOT going to look mint condition for long) and I don't see any potential for resale value.
I'm a big fan of the Sony NW-A45 (there are other models with the same form factor)
It fits right into the gap between smartphones and old school mp3 players imo.
It's new enough to have a touchscreen and bluetooth support but old enough to have an SD card slot, physical playback controls, a headphone jack and not run Android.
It also can handle bigger music libraries, something 5th gen iPods struggle with.
The only thing I dislike about it is the proprietary dock connector.
