Canadian woman jailed by ICE on the US border spent 12 days in a freezing jail cell for no reason, with 1 styrofoam cup, and 1 plastic spoon for the entire stay.

I will not be visiting the US until the reign of The Mad King is over.

do not attribute it solely to mad king rule, those things are being done by people. Mad king was not there to jail her, I doubt mad king issued specific order to keep her in those conditions. He spits hate all around and hope the seeds will grow, obviously he is right =/

We have a new game with Molly. We throw a piece of kibble. She chases it, attacks it, gobbles it up, then lets us know she wants to play again. We can keep her entertained for ages with a few pieces of food. She thinks it is the best thing ever. Her courage has shot up astronomically since we started this. Here she is waiting for me to make a throw so she can go chase again. #Caturday #CatsOfMastodon

Cake for breakfast ? Hmm no I prefer cereal with berries or scrambled eggs and if I'm really pushing the boat out I'll have some smoked salmon with my eggs.
in reply to Justine Smithies

@justine sweets for breakfast is typical in Italy (and at least in part of France). I've been doing a sweet breakfast for years - now switched to different things to contain the weight 🙂
in reply to Stefano Marinelli

Yeah I really love Italian food but can't seem to bring myself to have a sweet breakfast like that. Don't get me wrong I'd eat it all and some just not for breakfast. ;)
in reply to Justine Smithies

@justine Our traditional breakfast is typically savory. Eggs, toast, bacon or sausage, and home fries. Sometimes we swap out the home fries for oatmeal, which we usually sweeten with honey and banana. Sometimes we do Eggs Bourdain ala Kimball, which is just Eggs Bourdain with cheese, spicy chilies, and spinach added.

Very occasionally we do a sweet breakfast of pancakes or French toast. Today we are trying something new, something called Hawaiian Rolls French Toast.

I'll let ya know how it comes out.

in reply to Stefano Marinelli

@justine

Sweet for breakfast is common in most of France, to be honest. I think Spanish people like their sweet things for breakfast as well.

Source: I had "pain au chocolat" for breakfast this morning.

OK, OK, I had a LOT of pain au chocolat VERY LATE today, but it still count as breakfast. 😉

Salty breakfast is more of a germanic / anglo-saxon thing but I am not holding that against our neighbours!

in reply to Parade du Grotesque 💀

Us Scots also like Arbroath smokies aka kippers for breakfast too. Don't tell my other half about pain au chocolat as she loves that !

I finally started working on a new album, so I thought I'd share a little teaser, "Remembrance" (album intro). It's going to be sort of a concept album on emotions/feelings starting with "R", and a return to more progressive rock (but some orchestra & metal will be there, ofc!).

I'm sharing this mainly for two reasons:

1. to put some pressure on myself (this is the only thing that's ready 🤣 )
2. to get some feedback on guitars (they'll all be DNAfx Git Core, good enough?)

As I wrapped up my plain geometric flower pots (ranging from hexagon to nonagon shapes), I started thinking about ways to make the sides more interesting. I focused on smooth transitions from the rim and edges to the pattern, creating soft shadows that really bring out the details.

Here the hexagonal pot as an example: printables.com/model/754317
