Still need to figure out the best ways to announce upcoming streams, and I know RSS is desired by many (my blog has had an RSS feed for ... well, sorta since the dawn of time), but it isn't immediately clear to me that the blog RSS feed would be suitable for this purpose.

Google just keep doubling down on their uselessness. I'm picking someone up at Burbank airport tonight. According to the AI twaddle, there is a cell phone lot to wait in for arriving passenger. They even give an address. The first several links Google gives are sites that are nothing more than bot-generated crap from the AI answer.
There is no such lot at Burbank. It's damned near impossible to find that info online now.
Two ways to circumvent this (other than using a decent search engine, which Google is no longer):
1 add "fuck" or "fucking" to your query. Apparently the AI will not answer questions that include this.
2 Select tools -> and switch "all results" to "verbatim"
I'll note that Google results started to go downhill well before they introduced LLM garbage. This has just made a bad thing much worse.
@drahardja The sad fact is that the content adapts to the algorithm. It used to be you could ask "how do I do X with Y" and you'd get a page that told you how to do X with Y. Hurrah!
Then they decided that people wanted "authoritative" results, which meant a bias to longer form answers. So now you ask "How do I do X with Y" and you get a page that is "what is X, how did X come to pass, what's the history of X, blah blah blah fucking blah" and if you're very very lucky, somewhere in there, there's actually something on how to do X with Y. Often not.
That page that used to be the top result is still out there, buried somewhere on page 200.
It's Google's algorithm that's enshittified content, but in a lot of cases the concise answer you want is still available, waiting for a different engine to rank it higher, and some engines are starting to do a decent job of just that.
@alan I think any search engine that becomes dominant will be gamed by SEO. As long as that second, better search engine remains small, it will be ignored and continue to be good. Once they reach some critical mass (like, say, 25% of search volume), SEO will start paying attention to them and gaming their pages to divert results to their clients’ sites.
Don’t get me wrong: I think Google has done a lot of damage to their own search quality, primarily to extract more money from advertisers, but I think SEO also shares a lot of the blame.
