I have come to accept that I enjoy things in my own way. At concerts, for example, nearly everyone else will sing, dance and generally show enthusiasm, whilst I remain my quiet, reserved self. I don't like crowded, noisy places at the best of times, but the expectation that I join in with the revelry makes it even more excruciating.

This used to make me feel so uncomfortable that I would avoid such situations, but I am now more at ease with how I experience events. It is just part of who I am, and there is nothing wrong with that.

It has been a week since we saw Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band (and Paul McCartney) perform at Anfield! I had a great time, although everyone else probably thought that I was miserable! 😆

@AncTreat5358 Thank you! This acceptance is life-changing. When I was younger, I used to force myself to join friends on boozy nights out. I hated every second of it and eventually stopped engaging. But feeling free to experience things in my own way has increased my enjoyment of life 😊

So wonderful to hear a success story of a person blooming into their truest and most satisfied self. :red_balloon_heart:

Of all the many crimes against the English language committed by people from the USA, I think the only one which I'd make a capital offence is that of refusing to pronounce the "L" in "soldering".
in reply to Mackaj

@mackaj I'm assuming that one is just wilful maliciousness. They have a state called Oregon FFS, how can they mess up the pronounciation of the almost-identically-spelled herb so badly.

I think a largely underestimated part of the green transition is heat.

Just the heat needed for industrial processes alone, is higher than the amount of total electricity demand in Germany!
In total Germany needs **5 times** the amount of Heat (2500 TWh / year) than it consumes electricity (525 TWh / year).

Germany is already struggling to generate enough clean electricity, but the real problem is 5 times as large. Nuclear power is a great way to generate thermal energy in huge amounts. If you are interested in this and other ways in which nuclear is used for non heat applications, there is a nice excel sheet from the Gen4 international forum which can be found here: gen-4.org/resources/gif-tools-…

I thought of a new word:

Flopaganda

It describes when #propaganda techniques become desperate and don't work on people.

You know, like pro-Israel stuff.
