Little Sassy the survivor. She and her sister Teensy made it through an apartment fire that killed her mother and the rest of the litter. Andi adopted them, and Sassy's tail went necrotic and half fell off bit by bit. On antibiotics for years. Outlived her sister and the two younger dogs, until her body finally gave up at 19 1/2 years old

Assault of Human Rights Defender Upon Arrival in Israeli Custody The Freedom Flotilla Coalition confirms that upon arrival in Israeli custody, U.S. human rights defender, Christian Smalls, was physically assaulted by seven uniformed individuals. They choked him and kicked him in the legs, leaving visible signs of violence on his neck and back.
When his lawyer met with him, Christian was surrounded by six members of Israel's special police unit. This level of force was not used against other abducted activists.
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition condemns this violence against Chris and demands accountability for the assault and discriminatory treatment he faced.
