Despite being injured by shrapnel that penetrated his skull, causing complete paralysis, loss of hearing & sight, frequent seizures & dangerously high fever, his suffering did not end there.
Today, Ubaida is also battling hunger & severe malnutrition. He was recently infected with chickenpox, which has led to a tragic deterioration in his health.
Medical staff are helpless in the face of such pain, amid the lack of resources & absence of basic treatments.
