'Wrecks his own Big Lie': How 'nonsensical' Trump will cause 'catastrophe for Republicans' alternet.org/trump-jeffrey-eps… via Alternet.org

#FiveYearsAgoToday #AreWeGreatYet

July 29, 2020 – Trump said he did not ask Vladimir Putin about reported bounties on U.S. troops during a call with the Russian leader because it was “fake news.”

During an interview with Axios, Trump added that no report about bounties reached his desk and that, contrary to what had been reported, he read his daily intelligence briefings.

“You know, I read a lot,” he said. “They like to say I don’t read. I read a lot. I comprehend extraordinarily well, probably better than anybody that you’ve interviewed in a long time. I read a lot.”

@Fragarach My brother worked with a fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratories who was part of the team responsible for contributing to the daily intelligence reports for the mango moron during his first term. He was at his wit's end trying to figure out how to present complex information in a child's picture book format. No, the creature does not read unless it's 1) pictures and 2) mentions him.

europesays.com/2285270/ Some Slovak cities have streets named after Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson.
Beyond his role in Norway’s independence, in his works he expressed sympathies for Slovak nation after learning about their oppression in Austria-Hungary, publicly criticizing Hungarian anti-minority laws. 🇳🇴🇸🇰 #norway

Me: “On the next rewatch we ought to narrate The Mummy like a D&D campaign.”

My daughter: “That would be a change how? Also, the perfect movie D&D campaign is Big Trouble In Little China.”

Me: “…fair.”

We decided Gracie’s an Artificer, Wang’s a level 15 monk ("no, the DM put him in to keep you dorks alive!"), and Jack Burton is legit insane because a barbarian taking that many levels of bard bends the law of dice rolls.

@compfu

@dantheclamman Are clams starting to completely have their shells eaten away by acidifying carbonated ocean water anywhere? Where is the threshold where calcium carbonate shells breakdown and are we there yet anywhere in the seas? Thanks.
in reply to Shufei 🧮

larval bivalves are particularly vulnerable and can just waste away in acidic conditions. Mature bivalves are also vulnerable to dissolution. Researchers have found mussel shells have grown thinner with time in some reasons, which could leave them vulnerable to predation
